This is the exact quote that inspired me to have Zee retire from her day job as an International HR Benefits Manager (our last video) Life is very sweet, but very short. Losing our Ammu has given us a newfound appreciation for time. Ammu’s last year of life was filled with love, light, and happiness. She was incredibly filled with pure joy because she finally chose to live her life the way she wanted, with the people she wanted, doing what she wanted. Although we don’t know what the future holds, we know we want to be happy and this is the first step in the pursuit of being happy.

Parenting milestone

We’ve been singing “PEE PEE IN THE POTTY” while doing the cha cha dance all weekend long! Aya is starting to finally get in the habit of using the potty! A small step for Aya, a huge leap for the Arije’s home. One week in, numerous accidents later, and we are on the road to no diapers! We started on our toilet, but after a few days, that completely freaked her out - so we got her mini toilets, one on every floor so my girl doesn’t have to go far to do the do.
